Lifting Up Jesus

“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself.’” John 12:32

We need to proclaim Jesus, not promote Jesus.  We do not have to convince others to follow Him.  The great promise of Jesus is that He is more than able to draw people to Himself.  Our task is to lift up Jesus.  We must tell the old, old story to a new generation that has yet to hear.  Our lives must sing the story of Jesus, preach the message of Jesus, and reflect what it means to follow Jesus.  As we focus on Him and lift Him up, then He will draw us and others to Himself. 

Pray: Pray for the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus to be deeply convicting to others.  Pray that the methods of worship never overtake the message of worship.  Pray that your eyes are on Jesus and your life is about lifting Him up

    Definitely I pray for ability to keep it simple when speaking about God, Jesus, The Word, etc. So easy to come on too strong or with too many words which only repels folks. Guilty! My Momma told me once, “You preach too much!” I couldn’t help it! After what Jesus did for me, how could I not? “Let the redeemed of The Lord SAY SO :-)”
