A New Song

“Oh sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done marvelous things! His right hand and His holy arm have worked salvation for Him. The LORD has made known His salvation; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations.” Psalm 98:1-3

What an amazing new song the psalmist calls us to sing. We sing a song of victory because of the mighty and powerful work God has done in securing our salvation. We sing a song of salvation for other nations for Jesus has died to pay the price for their sin as well. We sing a song of God’s faithfulness and righteousness. Every week our worship should express gratitude for our salvation, hope for the salvation of others, and praise for the greatness of who God is.

Pray: Pray the songs you sing are less about the style of music you like and more about the salvation Jesus provides,the greatness of who God is, and your gratitude for the grace and mercy you have received. Pray that worship becomes less about our personal preferences and more about His Holiness.
