Worship As Witness
“You worship what you do not know, we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.” John 4:22
The great overarching purpose for Dublin Baptist Church is that others would come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord, that others would grow as disciples who love and serve Jesus. Jesus has changed our lives, but we are surrounded by people who do not know salvation. For them, our worship is something they don’t understand. But our worship is part of our witness. We worship God because we know Him, and every week we celebrate something about who Jesus is and what God has done. They may not understand our worship, but they can understand it as the Spirit speaks to their spirits.
Pray: Pray our worship would be a witness to others. Pray that as people who do not know Jesus come to a worship service, the Holy Spirit would draw them to the Father, and the power of the gospel would change them. Pray that the songs, testimonies, preaching, and all aspects of our worship would lift up Jesus.
“I’m excited to see what God is going to do in our church as we launch this new venture. I believe that as we step out in faith and obedience we are going to see Him move in “above and beyond” ways to impact the kingdom and bring Him greater glory”. Dale Eckard
